20 Metre Telephone Mast

Southwark Council has refused the application to erect a 20 metre telephone mast in the centre of Dulwich Village.

    1. CONCLUSION
      43. Due to the height, modern design and location of the proposed mast and
      antennae including its associated cabinetry, the proposal will introduce a
      dominant and incongruous modern feature, giving rise to Less than Substantial
      Harm to the character and appearance of the Dulwich Village Conservation
      Area and the setting of a number of Listed Buildings. The harm caused is not
      convincingly justified in accordance with the NPPF and is therefore contrary to
      para 208 of the NPPF (2023), London Plan Policy 7.8 and Policies P19, P20
      and P21 of the Southwark Plan (2022).
