Response to Streets For People Leaflet

The following email has been sent to Southwark Council – including our two local councillors

“I and many others on Dulwich Village, College Road, Pickwick Rd, Boxall Rd – no definitive list – have yet to receive one or both of these leaflets which were put through some letterboxes.
I would like to know why the delivery has been so patchy? Presumably this is an Officers’ matter so they are copied in.
Could we ask for some consistency in these deliveries as of course this is how some people miss out on “consultation” and the opportunity to attend meetings if babysitting or other arrangements are required given one meeting is only days away.
This is very important as we have had no proper public meetings on this matter and catching comments door to door when councillors are canvassing is not an efficient way to speak to constituents.
I also note that Southwark again choose the school holidays for an important matter to be discussed and also expect residents to attend meetings with only a few days notice.
Best wishes

Chair, Dulwich Village, College Road, Woodyard Lane and affiliated roads Boxall Road, Pickwick Road and Aysgarth Road.

  1. I fully agree with all the points raised by our Chair, Bridget Furst. I look forward to seeing the leaflet and a change of date for the consultation displaying full transparency and legitimate procedures for any changes impacting on our sector.
